A serial shoplifter has been banned from entering several York stores by a court order. Lauren Chadwick, 31, has been linked to numerous thefts from shops in the city – including a conviction for 11 shop thefts last December. Last week York magistrates court, imposed a court order to tackle her criminal activity. As a result for the next five years, Chadwick must not enter: . Co-op in Beagle Ridge Drive; . Morrisons Daily in Gale Lane; . Heron foods, Front street, Acomb . Co-op, York Road, Acomb In addition to these bans, she must not place any items in anything other then a shopping basket or trolley prior to payment; or make any attempt to conceal items from view prior to payment. Breaching any of the prohibitions of a criminal behaviour order is an offence, and could result in a jail sentence.
